Coastal Cleanup (11th October 2016)

To celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day, volunteers from the U.S. Embassy, Malta National Aquarium, Nature Trust (Malta), Maltaqua Dive School, Birdlife Malta, St. Paul’s Bay Local Council and Sharklab, together with many Maltese and international students and volunteers, cleaned up trash on the beach and surrounding areas near the Malta National Aquarium.

The volunteers collected a total of 277 kg of trash (115 kg of general waste and 162 kg of recyclable material) from the beach, the seabed and the surrounding area.
